Today, I decided to continue our theme of studying a different culture, so we headed south to Super H Mart, an Asian grocery store. My kids were fascinated with all of the different types of fruits, vegetables and meat that we cannot get in our normal Wal-mart or Kroger. My daughter declared that we have to come here at least once a month, because it is "neater" than our other grocery stores. We bought a few new things to try like a bitter melon from India, honey tangerines and Chinese eggplant. We made a list of things we would like to try later like cactus. (Can't remember the rest) I told the kids we could research each new food. Then, we will decide if it's something we would like to try.

We do the same thing...use SOTW as a springboard for country studies. And if I remember correctly, we also snuck in the Japanese steakhouse when we studied Japan!
We LOVE the Super H Mart! We've been going several times a month for a long time now. We started going to the one in Duluth, but now we go to Suwanee since it is closer. We used SOTW for a while, but now we're doing ambleside online. I still like SOTW and I think we'll still read through it even if we don't study it in depth. I've missed you guys. Maybe it will be warm enough soon on a day we can go to the park. The last two something has come up so we couldn't make it.
